At the young age of 12, I started my photography journey with my first Kodak Instamatic Camera when our family took a trip across Canada and felt it was my duty to capture everything. After years of picture taking and many different cameras, I had a collection of photos, some of which I entered into local photo contests and won!
Years later and five provinces further West, my husband and I found ourselves living in one of the most beautiful places in Canada – Vancouver Island. A place that is so full of photo opportunities that I never leave home without my camera. I am always on the hunt to capture that unique shot featuring a bird, sea life, wildlife (well anything that flies, swims or has four legs) and all the beautiful local scenery.
Recently, I supplied the North Island Hospital Campbell River & District with a large landscape print which is now featured within their physician’s lounge.
I’m often asked: Which of my photographs is my favorite? My response – the one I’m going to take tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I have enjoyed capturing these special moments.
